Nectarines and lemon verbena is one of my favorite flavor combos. This cocktail is so delicious on a summer evening. Happy Solstice weekend everyone!
Nectarine & Lemon Verbena Smash
1 nectarine
2 sprigs of lemon verbena
1 ounce of fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon simple syrup
2 shots white rum, or silver tequila
1 dropper of Celebrate Bitters
double old fashioned glass
ice
Cube nectarine, saving a slice for garnish.
Muddle half of the nectarine and one sprig of lemon verbena in cocktail shaker. Add ice, lemon juice, sugar, rum, and bitters. Give it all a good shake make sure to ‘smash’ the nectarine.
Strain over ice and garnish with remaining sprig and nectarine slice. Enjoy.
