We are always looking for things we can prep ahead and have available when we are working at Cordial Organics HQ. These work well as a bridge snack after we have burned through lunch and we need some energy to get us to dinner. They are packed full of anti-inflammatory ingredients such as turmeric, ginger, and CBD.
Golden Milk Energy Bites
1 cup cashews
1-2 TB maple syrup
2 TB hemp seeds
1 TB golden milk mix (make your own or if you have one on hand use that)
1 TB tahini
1 TB coconut butter or oil
1 pinch sea salt
½ tsp of Enhance (gives you approx 10mg of CBD per bite)
coconut flakes (optional)
Mix cashews in a Cuisinart until they reach a cornmeal consistency. Add maple syrup, hemp seeds, golden milk mix, tahini, coconut butter and salt.
Pinch between your fingers to check for a firm cookie dough texture—make sure it’s not tacky, not crumbly, and moldable into balls.
Taste and adjust flavor as needed, adding more golden milk mix for spice/warmth, maple syrup for sweetness, or salt.
Scoop out 1 Tbsp amounts and gently roll into balls. Repeat until all dough is formed into balls. Approx 12.
At this time you can roll them in coconut flakes, or refrigerate for 10-15 minutes to chill.
Leftovers will keep stored in the refrigerator up to 1 week, or in the freezer 1 month.
Golden Milk Mix
4 TB ground turmeric
2 tsp ground ginger
2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground black pepper
1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
1/8 tsp ground clove
Mix, add all spices to a small jar and shake or stir thoroughly to combine. Will keep at room temperature up to 3 months. You can double it if you find yourself using Golden Milk on the regular.
