Beauty and CBD

Imprinted into my 80’s childhood experience are snippets of advice I received from television ads. Whether it was that milk did a body good (debatable) or a cup of coffee was good to the last drop (truth), the ad slogans sunk in. Beauty advertisements were no less effective, we were all told by Kelly LeBrock in a Pantene ad, “Don’t hate me because I’m beautiful.”

That Pantene ad campaign turned out to be one of the most memorable of the decade. Pantene, Swiss founded in 1945, was acquired by Procter and Gamble in 1985. Less than a year later, the Don’t Hate Me Because I’m Beautiful ad aired on television and within 10 years Pantene was a billion dollar brand. The Pantene campaign was and still is a testimonial to ad dollars well spent.

Thirty-three years have passed since the Pantene ad aired and when it comes to ad budgets in the beauty industry, projections pin the beauty industry spending a collective $2,708 million + annually. ¹

Despite huge ad budgets and persuasive marketing in the beauty industry, there has been a notable shift that reflects a rising consumer preference to clean beauty products.

Beauty and CBD

At Cordial Organics, we applaud the discerning customer of beauty products. We have long believed that beauty by definition has little to do with vanity. Beauty has everything to do with wellness. We feel this to be true so deeply that it contributes to the foundation in which Cordial Organics is built upon.

The marriage between beauty and CBD felt intuitive for us at Cordial; beauty and wellness are not mutually exclusive. When we feel well, we feel beauty.

It is within our everyday rituals that hold the space to nurture our wellness.

CBD and the Benefits for the Skin

We dove into the science of how CBD applied to the skin can reduce inflammation, CBD applied topically has the potential to reduce wrinkles and why CBD can offer benefits for dry skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis in the blog post CBD Oil Benefits for the Skin.

With products that can be used daily such as Nourish Balm, Ritual Body Oil and Nourish Face Oil, you encourage your skin to be its healthiest.

Seventy-percent of questions that pharmacists are asked relate to skin care and the incidence of eczema has tripled since the 1970’s. ²

Inflammation is at the forefront of our concerns. Cordial Organics Restore and Restore Heat address the issue of joint and muscle pain – inflammation that can be managed topically. Studies are surfacing to confirm what customer feedback has offered for some time: CBD applied topically reduces inflammation, joint and muscle pain.³

With the merging of clean beauty and CBD in the Cordial Organics product menu, our everyday rituals are rooted in well-being: When we feel well, we feel beauty.
